Audience: Current Student
This event features Emily Harvey, local disability justice lawyer, author, and nationally recognized Para triathlete; and Britney Wilson, attorney with the National Center for Law and Economic Justice and advocate for BIPOC individuals with disabilities. They will discuss the status of laws protecting individuals with disabilities; what is needed – via law, culture, and policy; and the lived experience of individuals with disabilities including those minoritized within that space, and how bystanders, allies, and accomplices can support efforts to build the power of the disability justice movement and those most impacted.
