A staged reading of the Pulitzer Prize winning play that tells the story of the fictional American small town of Grover's Corners and the everyday lives of its citizens. Narrated by the “Stage Manager” we follow the Gibbs and Webb families through twelve years of life changes -- from the mundane in Act I, “Daily Life,” to the romantic in Act II, “Love and Marriage,” to the devastating in Act III, “Death and Eternity.”

This staged reading is a collaboration between the Department of Theatre and the DU Prison Arts Initiative (DU PAI). The cast includes DU students, formerly incarcerated DU PAI staff and incarcerated DU PAI students from Sterling Correctional Facility, within the Colorado Department of Corrections performing live via Zoom. A talkback will follow the performance.
