Xplore Workshop: How to Manage Your Event During a Crisis

April 8

2:00pm - 3:00pm

Audience: Alumni,  Current Student,  Faculty,  Families,  Neighbor or Friend,  Prospective Student,  Staff

Join Lara Smedley, Owner and Event Producer of Smedley Events, for an interactive session on how to manage your event during a crisis.

You have an event scheduled (or want to host an event) but with the COVID-19 pandemic you’re now having to shift gears. Do you go virtual? Do you postpone? Learn how to strategically make decisions about your upcoming events while still creating meaningful experiences that bring value to your audience/attendees. This workshop will go through the decision making process around your event going virtual or postponing, tips for taking events virtual and communication strategies for effectively postponing an event.

This workshop is part of Project X-ITE's Xplore incubator program. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, we are opening our virtual workshops up to the public for free. We encourage entrepreneurs and innovators to join us for the full series, or drop into any individual sessions. The Xplore workshop series kicks off April 1 and will run through early June. See the full schedule here.

*The virtual meeting information will be sent once you register.*
