Committee on Committees

Committee Charge

The Senate formed the Committee on Committees for the purpose of reviewing the current procedures and practices associated with the formation, appointment and performance of committees, including standing committees within the Faculty Senate and the University committees for which the Faculty Senate nominates members for service. The committee's charge is to make recommendations to the Senate body regarding ways to improve the processes used to select and appoint these committees, as well as to the practices that guide their work.

BookStore Sub-Committee

Committee Charge

The Student Relations Committee establishes a bookstore subcommittee in collaboration with the Provost's office and the Chief Financial Officer in order: 1) to assess, address, and monitor problem raised by the 2016 faculty survey; 2) to make sure that the diverse needs and intellectual values of departments around campus shall continue to be reflected in bookstore policies and procedures; and, based on the above two charges, 3) to advise the CFO on contract renegotiations or new contracts. Members of this committee need not be members of the SRC nor members of the Senate. The committee will meet minimally twice a year.

Web-Based Faculty Activity Reporting Sub-Committee

Committee Charge

The Personnel Committee establishes a web-based faculty activity reporting subcommittee in collaboration with the Provost's office and the CFO in order: 1) to investigate the nature of faculty concerns with our current web-based faculty activity reporting; 2) to assess, address, and monitor faculty satisfaction with this technology and problems they experience; and, based on the above two charges, (3) to advise the CFO on contract renegotiations or new contracts. Members of this committee need not be members of the Personnel Committee nor members of the Senate. The committee will meet minimally twice a year.
