Ashley Haliko
Director of Development
University Advancement

From a young age, Ashley had a passion for helping others. While in high school, she joined with a few of her classmates and founded a community-service club. Ashley also volunteered for several charities, which earned her recognition by the community. This early service and leadership continues to be a driving force and is a cornerstone of her career in development.

While earning her BA at Boston University (BU), Ashley spent three years at her alma mater helping raise money for their students and programs, as part of BU's annual giving campaign. Fueled by her drive for helping others and building impactful and sustainable programs, Ashley held the record for the highest-grossing caller in 2008. As a student, she learned about the importance of global-thinking and global-leadership, which led her to her current role and continues to be a formative part of her work at the University of Denver (DU).

After moving to the Rocky Mountain West, Ashley joined DU in 2010 to continue her passion for building opportunities in higher education through fundraising and assisted in the completion of the $490M+ ASCEND Campaign. In her present role as Director of Development, Ashley is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts for the University.

Ashley shares the DU story with alumni, parents, and friends nationally, and she also works directly with several Deans on the DU campus, helping them increase scholarship and programmatic support, as part of their greater vision for the University.

Ashley remains active in volunteer and professional organizations in Denver, and in her free time, she enjoys yoga, a good book, and traveling to her native Florida. She resides in Cherry Creek with her Bernese Mountain dogs, Tiberius and Minerva, and partner, Brenden, where they engage in that merciless sport of cheering for the Cubs.
