Jessica Barker joined the University of Denver in September 2013 after relocating to Colorado from Missouri. Jessica manages the administration of bequests, estates, external trusts and life insurance policies, and assists in creating and terminating life income gifts. She also helps coordinate stewardship activities for the Pioneer Legacy Society. Prior to joining DU's Gift Planning team, Jessica earned her B.A. in sociology at the University of Missouri-Columbia and held positions in client services, volunteer management and office support. She served as a volunteer for two years providing English language instruction to Burmese refugees and also held a part-time job as a tutor for student-athletes.

Jessica is currently pursuing a master's degree from the University of Denver. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering for other non-profit organizations, live music, cultural events and outdoor adventures.
