Kellie Fischer

Kellie Fischer joined the University of Denver in July 2014 and serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Development.

Kellie has a Bachelorʼs Degree in Organizational Management and Communications and a Masterʼs Degree in Human Resources Management. She has over 25 years of experience in medical and higher education fundraising, wealth management sales and financial planning.

Her fundraising career has included working at Childrenʼs Hospital Colorado Foundation, the College of Saint Benedict, and Virginia Tech. She also worked for Wachovia Wealth Management in Atlanta, LaSalle Bank Wealth Management in Chicago and had her own financial planning practice for five years in Phoenix. During her three years as Vice President of Planned and Principal Giving at Childrenʼs Colorado, she led the efforts that resulted in $33 million in future gifts.

Ms. Fischer has extensive experience building strong relationships with individuals and working diligently to help them accomplish their philanthropic and financial goals. In leading the Office of Gift Planning, she and her team assist alumni and friends in achieving their philanthropic goals for all DU schools and programs. They also work closely with regional and campus based development officers in helping to structure gifts that combine current and deferred gift components.
She has served on the program committee of the Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable and played a leadership role in Woodmarkʼs planned giving efforts for pediatric hospitals< across North America. In this role she served as the co-chair of the 2014 Legacy Forum for Woodmark pediatric hospitals in Montreal.
Kellie and her husband, Keith Johnson, live in Denver with their two Golden Doodles and are the loving grandparents of five grandsons and one granddaughter.
