Mimi Hasenkopf

University Advancement


Mimi Hasenkopf joined the University Advancement team as Director of Development in September 2012. She manages the principal gifts program for University Advancement and manages a portfolio of Denver-area prospects and donors. Mimi serves as the point of contact for principal gift-level strategy for the Chancellor's office, the UA major gifts team, and the embedded fundraisers across campus.

Mimi joined DU from The Pennsylvania State University, where she was the Associate Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Schreyer Honors College. She maintained a donor-centric focus pertaining to major gift responsibilities, managed the parent giving campaign, acted as primary alumni relations officer, and was an integral part of Penn State's development team for their $2B campaign. Mimi served as the Interim Director of Development twice in her tenure at the Schreyer Honors College, helping to maintain fundraising momentum and provide top-notch service and direction to an active volunteer campaign committee comprised of corporate and philanthropic leaders in the Penn State community.

A native of western Pennsylvania, Mimi holds a BA (Political Science) from Boston College and has also completed courses toward a Masters in Nonprofit Management at Regis University. In 2014, Mimi completed the Institute for Leaders in Development, a year-long institute for development professionals in Colorado's nonprofit organizations, and the Emerging Leaders Program in the Daniels College of Business.
