Parent and Family Giving

From move-in through graduation, your student's years at the University of Denver will provide an exceptional foundation for all their future endeavors.

This is a place where the leaders of tomorrow gather to live and learn together. This is a place where world-class faculty truly engage and get to know their students. This is a place where 71% of the students study abroad and 97% are employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation.

With our focus on holistic intellectual and personal development, we help students transform passion into purpose.

Philanthropy plays a major role in the educational excellence and overall student experience at DU and the ongoing generosity of DU parents is a testament to the quality of that experience. Last year, more than 1,500 proud Pioneer families went above and beyond for DU – totaling more than $2 million dollars. The cumulative generosity of DU parents, grandparents and other family members provides us with critical funds necessary to support the people, places and programs that are at the heart of the Pioneer experience.

DU families support areas of the university that are meaningful to them, including:

    • The Chancellor's Innovation Fund, personally directed by Chancellor Rebecca Chopp toward today's most pressing and innovative opportunities
    • Career Services Fund
    • Academic Units
    • DU Athletics, Clubs, and other initiatives

Your gift, together with gifts from parents around the world, add up to significant support for the university's vision--of a modern urban global university dedicated to the public good—an institution that cultivates an inclusive community to prepare students to lead lives of impact and benefits Denver and society through its research, teaching and service.

Parent gifts enhance the DU experience for your student – and all those who follow.
