Colorado Resilience Collaborative

History

The Colorado Resilience Collaborative (CRC) grew out of a need identified by community partners to provide services to those impacted by identity-based violence and who are recruited into groups that advocate violence as a solution. The initiative utilizes a trauma informed, culturally competent, and inclusive approach. We work to develop collaborative partnerships that support personal, social, cultural, and political action.

The CRC uses the language of identity-based violence: "The intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against a group or community, which either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, maldevelopment, or deprivation" (World Health Organization, 2002).
