Each year, the University of Denver hosts Love + Sex + Health Week during the month of February. This week features a series of a number of awareness and education events for the DU community.

For centuries, most religious traditions have not been friendly to the LGBTQ+ community. Many find that still to be the case. However, that is changing. This session will include a panel, moderated by University Chaplain, Gary Brower, that will address how they have been able to stay engaged in their faith traditions.

Stemming from the acknowledgement that pornography is a ubiquitous genre that generates diverse interpretations, this talk offers practical information on production, distribution, and consumption. Lastly, this talk engages directly with issues related to the relationship between pornography and sexual subjectivity, and offers pathways to ethical, feminist, and queer directors as an alternative to the mainstream industry.

12PM – Let's Talk About Sex (Work)

This workshop will explore the variety of professions under the 'sex work' umbrella and move into a discussion on the social justice and human rights issues that are often raised when discussing sex work. We will be discussing sex work both around the world and in the United Stated.

The Undergraduate Student Government and Health and Counseling Center are excited to be offering free testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and HIV for Love, Sex, and Health Week. Once you're done testing, stay and learn more about birth control, STI prevention, and other fun sexual health info!

Join DU students as they put on the Vagina Monologues. This year's theme is resistance and ticket sales will benefit the local organization Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA) and the global organization VDAY.

Matthew LeBauer, LCSW is a Psychotherapist and Sex Therapist in private practice in Cherry Creek, focusing on couples & relationship counseling. Matthew specializes in working with the Queer, Kink & Poly communities. Matthew will be hosting a panel of his colleagues to explore their diverse approaches to Love, Sex, Health and Spirituality in their counseling work. There will be a lively discussion followed by a Q&A. Come hear how different therapists use different approaches and get your questions answered through a variety of lenses.
