Dental and Vision Coverage
As a University of Denver student, you have the opportunity to enroll in a dental plan through Delta Dental and new this year, Delta Vision in partnership with VSP.
Delta Dental of Colorado and VSP Vision Care are partnering to bring best-in-class vision benefits to complement our dental benefits. That means flexible, quality benefits you can sink your teeth into.
You can enroll in both the dental and vision or dental only or vision only. Once you make that decision, changes can not be done until the next enrollment period.
***Enrollment for 2023–2024 is now CLOSED***
*DU students in completely online programs are not eligible to enroll in SHIP or receive services at the HCC.
2023–2024 Dental Plan Details
- The annual premium is $357.60 ($29.80 monthly)
- New students can only enroll in the fall term of each year
- The coverage is only available for students
- 100% coverage for most preventative and diagnostic services
- 2 cleanings each coverage year
- 50% coverage for most basic services
If you enrolled during the 2022-2023 year, you do not need to renew the dental coverage. Delta Dental of Colorado will leave your enrollment open-ended. You may carry this coverage with you, if you choose, beyond your time as a DU Student member. You will need to contact Delta Dental of Colorado’s Individual Admin team (see info below) to cancel your coverage.
The Health & Counseling Center confirms all eligibility and enrollment. Delta Dental will process all payments.
If you would like to enroll in the Delta Dental plan, we must receive the completed enrollment form prior to the enrollment deadline date.
Following enrollment, you must register a username and password on Delta Dental's national website at deltadentalco.com.
If you do decide to cancel this coverage, you must contact Delta Dental directly at individual@ddpco.com

2023–2024 Vision Plan Details
- The annual premium is $121.20 ($10.10 monthly)
- New students can only enroll in the fall term of each year
- The coverage is only available for students
- Well vision exam's $10 copay once per calendar year
- Eligible to purchase frames and lenses once per calendar year
