The University of Denver Health & Counseling Center offers full primary care and gynecology services to all eligible DU students, both graduate and undergraduate. With a staff of licensed physicians, specialists, nurses, practitioners, and other medical professionals at our convenient on-campus facilities, the HCC strives to equitably and accessibly meet the basic health needs of our University community.

We're Ready to Help

While the Health & Counseling Center is not an emergency room or urgent care facility, we are here to make sure you get the help you need when you need it. For a non-emergency illness, injury, or mental health crisis, call the Front Desk at 303-871-2205 — help is available 24/7.

Referrals to Outside Providers

The HCC is an integrated primary care, gynecology, and behavioral health facility providing basic, full-service physical and mental health care to the DU community. And while we do offer appointments with some specialty providers at our on-campus facilities, we can also help coordinate referrals to outside providers when necessary. These providers can include specialists in dermatology, otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat), orthopedics, neurology, cardiology, and more. We don't provide dental care. However, we do offer dental insurance through Delta Dental.

Your Privacy Is Protected at the HCC

We understand that information about your health care is personal. That's why the Health & Counseling Center is committed to protecting your health records in full compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Under HIPAA, we are required by law to keep your information private, and will only disclose it under specific, legally defined circumstances. In order to obtain your own records or share them with anyone outside of the HCC, you will need to sign and submit a Release of Information form.
