10 tips for being a considerate neighbor

1. Get to know your neighbors
    a. Introduce yourself when you move in
2. Maintain the yard and sidewalk
    a. Per Denver city law, you must shovel your sidewalk within 24 hours of the end of the snowfall
3. Keep the noise down
    a. Denver noise ordinance laws take effect at 10pm
4. Drive with consideration
    a. Side streets have slower speed limits than main thoroughfares
5. Park with care and know the parking rules
    a. Be sure not to take up two spots on the street
6. Control your pets
    a. Don't let you dog bark all day or run wild on the street
7. Be courteous when using the laundry facilities in an apartment
    a. Quickly change your loads to free up the machines
8. Smoke outside of the doorways
    a. Smoke travels quickly and can get sucked up into vents and go to other units.
9. Pick up after your pets on walks
    a. Don't leave this to be someone else's foul smelling problem.
10. If issues arise, talk to your neighbors, engage in dialogue.
    a. This creates a sense of community on the block
