Employee Assistance Program and Additional Counseling Services
Counseling Services
To help you manage daily challenges, DU is pleased to offer the SupportLinc Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP can connect you with a case manager to locate a counselor in your area for up to six free counseling sessions held either in person or over the phone. To begin, call 1-888-881-LINC (5462). Additional Services (Fees Apply)Trauma & Disaster Recovery Clinic
The DU Trauma & Disaster Recovery Clinic (TDRC) provides help to people dealing with adversity through services that honor and expand each individual's strengths and resources. The TDRC assists those in need of psychological intervention to alleviate the effects of traumatic experiences and foster resilience as well as personal, family, and community growth. They offer comprehensive psychological services to those affected by trauma resulting from accidents, crime, abuse, natural disasters, refugee status, and more.
Professional Psychology ClinicThe DU Professional Psychology Clinic (PPC) is the training center for the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at the University of Denver. We have provided low cost, high quality psychological services to the Denver community for over 30 years. Staffed by doctoral students under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals, the PPC offers a broad range of confidential mental health care.

DU Food PantryThe DU Food Pantry is available for staff, faculty, and students. Food is free for those who need assistance. It has drop-in hours at the Center for Sustainability in Centennial Towers.

Retirement
Retirement Plan Contributions
Personal contributions can stop, start, or change at any time throughout the year. Employees can manage their retirement plans through the TIAA website set up exclusively for DU.
Retirement Plan Loans and Hardship Withdrawals
Loans and hardship withdrawals are available through TIAA and can only be taken from the contributions that you put into the plan. All withdrawals and distributions from the plan are governed by IRS regulations and are subject to federal and state taxes. Contact TIAA at 1-800-842-2252 to request a loan or hardship withdrawal.

Injury reporting is required, seeking medical treatment and workers’ compensation is optional. If you seek medical treatment and want it covered by workers’ compensation insurance, you must go to a medical provider listed on the Workers’ Compensation Medical Providers list.
