DESCRIPTION:
Writing has been a foundational skill in a university education across all disciplines. Current developments in generative AI have disrupted these foundations and have challenged educators and learners to consider the implications now and in the future of writing’s role in learning and the workplace. DU’s University Writing Program in association with the Office of Teaching and Learning and the Center for Ethical Generative AI Applications invite you to spend the day learning\, discussing\, and workshopping critical concerns and potential opportunities for the future of writing and the current iterations of generative AI. This all day symposium will have multiple sessions\, with key events led by Jennifer Sano-Franchini (West Virginia University) and Antonio Byrd (University of Missouri Kansas City)\, as well as a Q&amp\;A with a panel of writing faculty from Front Range colleges.
