Tuition & Program Fees

General Information

Interterm is an independent academic period that is separate from the quarters in the traditional academic year. As such, Interterm classes are billed separately from the corresponding quarter. For example, tuition for Winter Interterm and Winter Quarter CANNOT be combined to reach the 12+ hour discounted rate. Learn more about Tuition and Fees

Financial Aid

Interterm financial aid is available to eligible students. Need-based and merit-based financial aid awards are granted on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are a student that has no financial need, you may apply for a merit-based scholarship by completing the application below as well. Recipients will be notified of award by e-mail at least one month prior to the beginning of Interterm or sooner.

Students who are eligible to utilize a tuition waiver may either use their tuition waiver or the offered Interterm financial aid. Per DU university policy, they may not use both.

Program Fee scholarships

Students showing aid need through FAFSA and/or CSS Profile will automatically be considered for program fee scholarships if the student is interested in registering for a travel Interterm course. These awards range from $300 - $1000 and can only be applied toward the program fee of a travel Interterm course.

Undergraduate student requirements:

  • Be a DU degree-seeking student with a GPA of at least 2.5
  • Have a FAFSA and CSS Profile on file and demonstrate need determined by the Financial Aid Office to qualify for need-based aid
  • If you do not qualify for need-based aid, you must have at least a quarter worth of credits reported to your DU student account to qualify for merit-based aid
