International Student Orientation


International Student and Scholar Services is excited to welcome you to the University of Denver!

Access our New Student Resource Packet for important information and resources.



Mandatory International Student Orientation for Fall 2021 will take place on Thursday, September 2nd. Optional, social events will take place on Friday, September 3rd and throughout the weekend.

If you are cleared to return to campus, you may attend the orientation in-person. If you are not cleared for campus access or will not arrived in Denver in time to attend in-person, an online make-up orientation will be available.

What is a sponsored student?

This orientation will be held via Zoom. New sponsored students will receive an email from ISSS with the Zoom link. If you are unsure if you are a sponsored student, please email

International Student Check-In

Students who are new to the University of Denver will need to complete the Immigration Check In. NOTE that this process cannot be completed until AFTER you arrive in the United States.

You can access the instructions and submit the request through our online portal. Choose Incoming Students > Arrival Confirmation and Check-In.

You will need to login in with your DU ID (87xxxxxxx) and password. The login credentials are the same ones that you use when you check your DU email or access PioneerWeb.

Once logged in, choose the appropriate start term of your program in the US.

After you have viewed the learning content and attached the requested documents, you must click the red Submit button at the top of the page to complete the process.
