Acquiring F-1 or J-1 Status

International University College Student Costs

Select the academic year you are beginning your new University College program:

2019-2020

The following information includes the estimated minimum cost of attendance for the 2019-2020 academic year for international University College students at the University of Denver. These costs are taken from the Cost of Attendance website maintained by the Office of Financial Aid. You can contact University College at ucolintl@du.edu with any questions related to tuition amounts.

To issue the Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 for your program, the University of Denver must be able to verify that you have (at minimum) the following amount of funding:

Tuition and Fees* (8 credit hours per quarter for 3 quarters/9 months)         $ 17,208
 Living expenses (room and board, personal expenses, transportation) $ 18,720
 Books & Health Insurance** $ 4,176
 Total $ 40,104

*$713 per credit hour

The estimated additional expenses for each dependent that requires F-2 or J-2 status are:

  • Spouse: $5,200 per academic year (3 quarters/9 months)
  • Each Child: $3,960 per academic year (3 quarters/9 months
