A Colorado local, I attended the University of Colorado Boulder for my undergraduate in International Affairs. Prior to graduate school, I interned in U.S. Senator Udall's office.

I chose the University of Denver's dual degree program because I am passionate about employing a market approach to deliver financially sustainable and socially equitable development solutions. I was attracted to DU for a few reasons. First, DU alumni are engaged, kind, and incredibly willing to help students. Second, the hire rate after graduation is great thanks to the incredible career services office at Korbel. Third, the school is well ranked and has an excellent reputation.

Since I began my three year dual degree program, I've participated in many extracurricular and professional development activities. My first two years at DU, I served as the Communications Director for Net Impact, a national student group that equips students with tangible skills to use business as a force for good. I also manage a Diversity & Inclusive Excellence case competition that brings together students of different ages, degrees, nationalities, and genders to address diversity issues.

I interned for an education NGO, the Zorig Foundation, in Mongolia after my first year. I interned for a global health organization in Washington, DC, Population Services International, for six months after my second year. I was able to intern for six months in DC because I participated in the Korbel in DC program in fall 2016.

I hope to pursue a career in marketing and international development after I graduate in June 2017.
