I was born and raised in Oslo, Norway and graduated from North Park University in Chicago with BA in Politics & Government and History in 2013. After completing my undergraduate degree I attended the summer program at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. I went on to intern with a small human rights NGO in Geneva and later, Amnesty International in Oslo.

The flexibility of the program and opportunity to craft it after my own interests was one of the main reasons why I ended up choosing Korbel. The Student Affairs and Admissions offices were extremely helpful in answering any questions I had before I arrived in Denver and they made me feel very welcome. The diversity of classes offered, the quality of the professors and the expertise of the career services have clearly underlined that I made the right decision. I'm currently studying international security focusing on terrorism, counterterrorism and its implications for human rights. In addition, I lead the Amnesty International student group and frequently partake in the hikes organized by Korbel Climb. I am also a member of the Organization for Security Students and Denver Women in International Security.

I look forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge of Korbel with future students. Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have!
