Priority Admission Option for DU INTS Majors

A priority admission option is available to University of Denver undergraduates majoring in international studies (INTS).

Priority admission allows DU students who will earn a BA in INTS the opportunity to enroll as a traditional MA candidate at the Josef Korbel School within one year of receiving their BA degree (regardless of quarter).

  • Students admitted into the program through this option can start graduate level courses (in fall or winter quarters) after the BA degree has been conferred, and will receive full consideration for scholarship funding.
  • Students have up to five years to complete the MA—starting with their first MA course.
  • Students pursuing this option must complete all standalone requirements for both their Bachelor of Arts degree, as well as their selected Master of Arts degree.

Additionally, the program maximizes flexibility, so students have the latitude to pursue internships and other experiential learning opportunities, such as the DC or Geneva Program. Unlike the dual degree BA/MA program, extensive pre-planning is not required to be eligible for this program.

  • Eligible students must be current and formally declared INTS majors and carry an overall GPA of at least 3.5 to be considered for admission.
  • Candidates must submit all required application materials, including required test scores, by the specified deadlines.
  • Interested candidates are advised to apply by the priority deadline of January 15 for fall enrollment or November 1 for winter enrollment.
