2016 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN

To open the 2016 presidential caucuses and primaries, the Denver Post published an opinion piece by Crossley Center Director Floyd Ciruli, "The Year of the Outsider."

POST-BRITISH ELECTION ANALYSIS

Korbel School students and Crossley Center scholars, Gina Jannone and Chelsea Batholomew, have completed their analysis of the May 7th British election. The election result was one of interest for its effect on British politics, policy and polling.

Of the dozen or so theories regarding why British pollsters crashed and burned in the May 7th parliamentary election, Crossley Center Director Floyd Ciruli adds another: that the culprit is the marriage of intense polling (poll-of-polls) and the subsequent media narrative with American-style stealth-targeted big data campaigns. Read Director Ciruli's editorial in the May 16, 2015 Denver Post on the British polling debacle. The article was reprinted on the PollingReport.com website with a host of other earlier analyses of problems with British polls.

Crossley Center Director Floyd Ciruli was quoted on the front page of the Los Angeles Times on April 12, 2015, regarding the 2016 presidential race in the West: "Obama conquered the West for Democrats, but now it's back in play."

Josef Korbel School Dean Christopher Hill and Crossley Center Director Floyd Ciruli were interviewed on "Balance of Power," on Denver's 9News on March 15, 2015.

In a Denver Post guest editorial on February 26, 2015, Adjunct Professor Floyd Ciruli described Colorado's need for water planning - "Ciruli: It's Colorado's Move on Water Planning"

An opinion piece on the nationalization of Colorado's midterm, "The Price of Popularity," by Adjunct Professor Floyd Ciruli, ran in The Denver Post on Nov. 30, 2014.

The Denver Post published an analysis of the 2014 midterm election in Colorado, "Colorado is still a political battleground," by Adjunct Professor Floyd Ciruli on Oct. 25, 2014.
