Aliaksei Kharytaniuk

Aliaksei KharyAliaksei Kharytaniuk is an M.A candidate in International Human Rights with concentrations in Forced Labor and Human Trafficking and with a certificate in Humanitarian Assistance, which he pursues under the auspices of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies of the University of Denver.  Prior to coming to Korbel, Aliaksei had worked at the Counter Trafficking Unit of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) – Mission in Minsk as a counter-trafficking project clerk. 

In summer 2017, Aliaksei was interning with IOM – Office to the United Nations, where he worked with the development and humanitarian assistance teams and was reporting on meetings and side-events at the UN, that focused on refugees and internally displaced persons in emergencies and on the themes of urbanization and disaster risk reduction. 

Originally Aliaksei is from Belarus where he received a Specialist's Degree in Intercultural Communication with concentration in foreign policy from Minsk State Linguistic University. He is interested in migrants' and refugees' rights, and tracking, assistance and protection of internally displaced people in emergencies.
