Sarah HanselinSarah Hanselin is an MA candidate in International Human Rights with a certificate in Humanitarian Assistance at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies. Sarah is interested in human rights and development in the MENA region, with a particular focus on refugee and women's rights.

Prior to coming to Josef Korbel School, she spent three years in Egypt working as an English instructor and volunteering her time with a local refugee service center. During her time in the MENA region, Sarah worked with various organizations throughout North Africa on minority rights issues in multiple communities. This experience sparked her dedication to work with marginalized communities in the MENA region and promote equity. She became passionate in advocating for refugee rights and access in her undergrad years, working with NGOs in Greeley, CO to help refugees from various backgrounds gain English language skills and navigation systems. She also has spent over five years facilitating intercultural dialogues on the most divisive topics between students who identify as refugee or non-refugee from around the globe with organizations like Soliya and Sharing Perspectives.

She holds her two B.A. degrees from the University of Northern Colorado in Anthropology and History.
