Silvia Roscot

Humanitarian Assistance Student Gabriel Garcia

Silvia Roscot is a MA candidate in International Development with a certificate in Humanitarian Assistance and a concentration in Governance and Political Development. She is also pursuing an online certificate program in Evidence-Based Humanitarian Assistance within Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, where her main area of study is the application of data-driven methodologies for food aid delivery in protracted humanitarian crises.

Prior to beginning her studies at the Josef Korbel School, Silvia was part of World Food Programme team in Ecuador where she worked within the Emergency Relief and Disaster Risk Reduction Unit. During her time at WFP, Silvia had the opportunity to be involved in an array of programs, including designing and implementing food-security programs targeting women's empowerment. She also worked with CIFAL Atlanta, a training center for UNITAR that serves as a regional hub for capacity building and development for the Western Hemisphere.   Silvia holds a BA in Political Science from Georgia State University.
