Research in Conflict-Affected Countries and Contexts

Ethics, Risks, and Practicalities

Social scientists from many disciplines do research in conflict affected countries and contexts, such as studying community level and interpersonal violence. This workshop is designed to prepare students and faculty to more fully understand the ethics, risks, and practicalities of conducting research in such environments. We will hear insights from experienced researchers, including DU faculty and advanced graduate students, as well as Will Reno from Northwestern and Karen Jacobsen from Tufts.

  • When: Monday, March 2nd, 9am-3pm
  • Where: Tuscan Ballroom, Joy Burns Center
