Arts

DU plays a prominent role in the Denver art scene, and our students are at the heart of this community. The College's state-of-the-art galleries and performance spaces house our own talented student and faculty artists. And we regularly bring nationally-renowned creators to campus to grow our artistic community.

Hundreds of events stack our calendar each year, many of which showcase our student musicians, actors and artists. You'll find visual art across campus, including exhibitions at the Vicki Myhren Gallery, Gallery 023,  C Cubed Studio and the Museum of Anthropology, with students playing important roles as both artists and curators. Writing, filmmaking and digital art are among the other creative pursuits explored by our faculty, students and alumni.

You'll also be able to draw from the cultural resources of the city of Denver. The Denver Art Museum, First Friday Art Walk, world-class music venues and many other experiences are just a quick light rail ride away.

The arts are an important aspect of every student's experience at DU. Check out the benefits of a creative and liberal arts education.
