Also according to a recent LinkedIn study of 12,000 CEOs worldwide, sales and sales-related job titles such as business development are the most common first jobs of CEO’s! Starbucks’ Howard Schultz, Oracle’s Mark Hurd, IBM’s Sam Palmisano, as well as billionaires like Warren Buffett and Mark Cuban all started in sales. Even if you choose a different career, sales skills are extremely valuable in helping you advance your career and sell yourself and your ideas.
The Daniels College of Business offers a minor in sales leadership to help you build the skills that will help you become an influencer and a leader. Organizations are looking for students with sales education because they ramp up faster, enjoy their work more, and play a key role in the success of the business. Built on the College’s tenets of ethical leadership, students will:
