Geography & the Environment

Bachelor of Arts

A minimum of 45 quarter hours of geography (or geology, as required), including 25 quarter hours of 2000- or 3000-level courses.

Required Courses (28 credits):

  • GEOG 1410: People, Places, & Landscapes
  • GEOG 2000: Geographical Statistics
  • GEOG 2020: Cartography
  • GEOG 2100: Intro to GIS
  • GEOG 1201-1203: Environmental Systems or GEOG 1216-1218: Our Dynamic Earth
  • GEOG 2990: Professional Development for Geography & Environmental Science -must be taken by all graduating Seniors.

Elective Courses: 

Minimum 17 qtr hrs of 2000 or 3000 level geography or geology courses. At least one physical geography, one human geography, and one GIScience course.
