  •  Friday, March 16th,12:00-1:00pm, STURM 453 (If you are interested , please let Dr. Lorenzon know as she will not be able to attend- so she can arrange for someone to log in to the livestream. Otherwise, we will not have the lecture). Health Equity Lecture Series: Empowering Youth to Assess their own Health: A Participatory Approach to Health Assessment in Denver. Panel Members: Abbie Steiner - Epidemiologist at Denver Public Health and the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment. In her current role she works to leverage data to empower community driven change. Members of the Youth Health Assessment Youth Leadership Team will also join to share about their experience guiding the assessment effort and reflections on the findings. 
  • Sat. March 17th,1:00-5:00pm, Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center- 13200 E. 14th Place, Aurora -  Hot Topics Community Health Forum. Experience lively 'speed-dating style' discussion about the challenges and solutions to some of the hottest issues facing the Black/African-American community in Denver! Hosted by the Colorado Black Health Collaborative. Facilitator: Cathy Phelps, MA, LCSW, Executive Director, The Center for Trauma and Resilience, and other guest speakers. No registration required- Free!
  • Wednesday, March 28th, 6:00-7:00pm - Pre-Health Group Advising. Location TBD
  • Friday, March 30th, 12:00pm - Information session for Social Determinants of Health – Argentina. The class will be held June 11-30.
  • Sunday, April 8th - Frank Shorter RACE4Kids' Health 5K at 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, CO. Run a 5K on the DU Pre-Health Team or volunteer at the NSM booth and teach kids about the brain. More info to come! See attached flyer.
