Parking Permits

Types of Lots

Restricted  (Red Permits)

Restricted lots are designated by the color red and a letter on the parking map. These lots tend to be more convenient to high demand areas. A limited number of permits are sold to each lot in order for the patron to find a space easily. In very rare occasions beyond Parking Services' control a restricted lot may be full in which case lot 108 will act as overflow.

General Basic  (yellow Permits)

General lots are categorized into North and South of Evans Street, designated by the color yellow, and identified by the 100-series number on the parking map. These lots tend to be on the edges of campus. A limited number of permits are sold to each lot in order for the patron to find a space easily. Permits are valid in General lots within the designated area listed on the front of your permit 24/7.

NIGHT/WEEKEND  (SILVER PERMITS)

Night and Weekend parking is valid from 4pm - 6am on weekdays and all day on weekends in 100 series General lots and lots H1, Q, and W.

Paid Hourly

Hourly parking lots are designated by the color green on the parking map and named for the closest building. Hourly lots are intended for short-term parking.  Multi space pay lots allow for a maximum 16 hour stay.  Single space meter lots allow for a maximum 5 hour stay.  If specified on the permit, event permits may be used in Paid Hourly parking lots when provided by the group hosting the Event.

Recreation

Lots for non-DU affiliated participants in a recreation program at the Ritchie Center. A permit is required to park in Recreation lot and is issued after approval from the Recreation department. University of Denver faculty, staff, students, and student employees at the Ritchie Center are not approved to park in recreation lots.
