Mission

The Department of Parking and Mobility Services (Parking Services) serves the University of Denver by providing parking for students, faculty, staff and visitors to campus. The department reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Facilities Management and Planning, under the Vice Chancellor for Business and Financial Affairs. Parking and Mobility Services strives to provide equitable, quality service to the University community by providing timely, efficient and fair customer service. This goal is achieved by:

  • Courteous, fair and timely customer service
  • Proactive planning for campus parking needs
  • Maintaining safe and clean parking facilities
  • Enforcing University parking policies
  • Managing the permitting process in an efficient and service-oriented manner
  • Managing special event parking
  • Promoting and providing access to mobility alternatives including bicycles, bike sharing, campus shuttle, and car sharing resources

Department ResponsibilitIes

The Department of Parking and Mobility Services is responsible for managing the supply and demand of all parking spaces on campus, including both surface and structured lots.

Auxiliary Enterprise

Parking and Mobility Services is a self-supporting auxiliary enterprise. All monies collected through permit sales, visitor fees, and citation fines fund the cost of the operation, maintenance, and development of the University's parking facilities. Colorado Seminary, which owns and operates the University of Denver, has approved the use of user fees and fines to finance, manage, maintain and develop the University's parking facilities.
