The Pioneer ID Card is your official identification while at the University of Denver. All DU constituents including students, faculty, staff and are REQUIRED to carry their ID card while on campus. Due to social distancing requirements, contact tracing and COVID-19 safety measures, access to all campus buildings and facilities are locked and require a Pioneer ID Card to enter. Additionally, the DU ID Office is strictly limiting in-person interactions and has coordinated ID Card distribution throughout the University. Instructions on obtaining a Pioneer ID Card are dependent on your classification (undergraduate student, law student, graduate student, staff/faculty) and are outlined below.

Incoming Undergraduate, Graduate and Law Students - ONLINE SUBMISSION IS MANDATORY FOR ALL STUDENTS. The deadline for undergraduate and graduate Fall 2020 submission has been extended to Monday, August 24th, 2020. Once submitted, your ID will be printed and ready for pick-up upon your arrival to campus.

Students may elect to have their ID Card mailed directly to them prior to arrival by contacting the ID Card Office at pcard@du.edu. Please note, in order to have your ID in time for arrival on campus, we will stop mailing IDs on Friday, August 28th. If you wish to have your ID Card mailed to you, please send an e-mail to pcard@du.edu including the below information.

Online/Distance Learning Students

Please submit your photo online or email us at pcard@du.edu if possible, as these methods are much easier to use during COVID-19 restrictions. ID Cards can still be mailed if photos are submitted digitally. Graduate students enrolled in an online or distance learning program may download and print a Pioneer ID Card Request form. Simply complete the form, attach a photo, and mail it in. Please use this form ONLY if you are an online or distance learning student and are currently enrolled. If you submit the form as any other type of student your card will not be mailed, nor will the form and picture be returned to you. Once your paperwork is processed, we will mail your Pioneer ID Card to the current mailing address on your DU records.

All staff and faculty, including non-benefited and adjunct faculty, are entitled to a Pioneer ID Card.  New faculty and staff should submit on-line for a new photo ID. Once submitted, please contact us by e-mail to make arrangements to pick-up your ID Card.
