Applications must be supported by the following documents:

  • Transcripts from each college or university attended
  • Current resume
  • Personal statement (write not more than two pages (double spaced) to explain why you are considering a career in publishing and what personal characteristics, interests and aspirations have led you to this choice)
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • A non-refundable application fee of $65.

DU Graduate Admissions

General Admissions Deadline

The general deadline for applications to the Denver Publishing Institute is March 27, 2019. The Application Committee will begin to mail notifications to applicants on April 17, 2019. Accepted applicants will be required to make a $1000 non-refundable deposit by May 1, 2019 in order to hold their place. This sum will be applied toward the tuition fee, the balance of which will be billed by the University in June.

Early Acceptance Deadline

Students may also apply for early acceptance by submitting their application at any time up until February 27, 2019. The Application Committee will review all applications and notification will be mailed to all applicants no later than March 12, 2019. Those who are granted early acceptance must send their nonrefundable deposit of $1,000 by March 28, 2019 to ensure their reserved place in the class.

International applicants will be required to submit applications online with additional requirements. Please review the checklist of requirements specific to international applicants.
