Reality Based Leadership

Reality Based Leadership will help you shift your mindset so that you can be more effective in work and in life. You will learn 5 emotionally inexpensive competencies; personal accountability, reality-based thinking, organizational alignment, capitalizing on change, and driving for results. This course will change the way you think about your circumstances and those of the people you lead, so that you can ditch the drama, restore sanity to the workplace, and turn excuses to results.

Learning Objectives
Upon completing this course students will be able to:
  • Increase your awareness of mindsets that will help you find peace at work by uncovering destructive thought patterns within yourself and others.
  • Defuse drama and lead the person in front of you
  • Restore sanity to the workplace by empowering others to focus on the facts and think for themselves.
  • Demonstrate “RBL” competencies to help you lead your team to results.

Certificate Information

Instructor
Paula Staffeldt
, a leadership coach and spiritual teacher, brings over 20 years experience in corporate/university training, organizational/leadership development, and coaching. Her specific areas of expertise are Reality-Based Leadership (realitybasedleadership.com), Crucial Conversations (www.vitalsmarts.com), and Contemplative Leadership (studied with Cynthia Bourgeault, a colleague of Fr. Thomas Keating). This background, plus a graduate degree from the University of Denver in Counseling Psychology, with a cognate in Theology, positions Paula to help values-based leaders use reflection to bring insight and new perspectives to their concerns; highlight areas of communication that need improvement and practice new ways of getting messages across effectively, and free themselves from conventional thinking for a more flexible leadership presence.
