Excel II: Advanced Calculations and Managing Data

Take the next step on your calculated journey to Excel mastery! This mid-level workshop, taught by Microsoft Certificated software trainer Debbie Dalrymple, will explore customization, advanced formulas and calculations, specialty formatting, and data management with charts and tables. Level II is perfect for professionals who feel comfortable using Excel formulas and functions, but want more advanced knowledge for data management. Complete all three Excel workshops to increase your proficiency with this essential tool.

Required: Microsoft Office Excel 2016 loaded on your laptop.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completing this course, students will be able to:
  • Customize the Excel environment.
  • Create advanced formulas.
  • Analyze data by using functions and conditional formatting.
  • Organize and analyze datasets and tables.
  • Visualize data by using basic charts.
  • Analyze data by using PivotTables, Slicers, and PivotCharts.

Debbie Dalrymple
is Microsoft certified in both network engineering as well as Excel and Word, and began her career in computer training in 1992. Starting her training career at Computer Learning Center in Washington DC working with DOS and early Windows applications, she has transitioned to the latest Windows software that we know today. Throughout the past two and a half decades Debbie has been training students and providing technical support and consulting services in a variety of industries such as architecture, law, federal government, pharmaceutical and the oil Industry as well as extensive non-profit work. In her free time, she uses Excel to track and analyze various other areas of her life, including vegetables grown on her urban farm and miles ridden on her bike.
