Medicaid Mastery for Your Practice

The idea of becoming a Medicaid Provider can be intimidating to new and seasoned clinicians alike, preventing follow-through out of fear of audits or barriers in the credentialing process. Join instructor, and University of Denver alumna, Khara Croswaite Brindle to gain the confidence to provide behavioral health services to Medicaid clients. Students in this course will explore the logistics of Medicaid compliance, including billing and documentation requirements, and will engage in a supportive overview of the benefits of becoming a Medicaid Provider.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completing this course, students will be able to:
  • Identify Medicaid documentation requirements to remain in compliance as an independent provider.
  • Demonstrate professional clinical writing skills to support measurable treatment goals and ethical documentation as a Medicaid provider.
  • Develop Medicaid compliant templates to support clinical writing, time management, and audit compliance as a Medicaid provider.

Khara is honored to serve young adult professionals in her work in mental health and higher education with an emphasis on healing trauma and supporting personal growth. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and owner of Catalyst Counseling, PLLC, a group private practice in Denver, Colorado. She enjoys inspiring innovation in shared communities through her CACS Suicide Risk App as well as being the Founder and Executive Director of Catalyst Collective, a Colorado non-profit cultivating community connections in suicide prevention to support meaningful change.
