Relationship Development Study

This project began in October of 2006 and is funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. The purpose of the study is to investigate romantic relationships over several years to learn how they develop and change over time.

Information from this study will be published in academic journals, made available to the popular press, and will be used to guide the development of relationship education programs.

Unmarried individuals in romantic relationships are being recruited nationally via short phone surveys and are paid to complete surveys every four months.

Participants’ identities and records are confidential.
