Beyond the Classroom

Social Emotional Learning

At Ricks Center, it is our mission to provide a dynamic and challenging educational environment that anticipates and responds to the individual intellectual, social, emotional, physical, aesthetic and cognitive needs of gifted children.

random acts of kindness (rak at Ricks)

One way we are addressing Social Emotional Learning in our students is through the integration of the Random Acts of Kindness program at Ricks Center - RAK at Ricks. Classes are participating in structured lessons including Caring for Others, Creating a Kind Classroom, Feelings and Behavior, Following the Rules and many other activities.   Our goal is to create a purposely "kindful" community.

Let's make 2016 the year of Kindness!
