PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor Tina Hageman teaches in community social work including leadership, program development and fundraising. She also directs a research grant funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) studying children exposed to intimate partner violence and animal abuse.   

Hageman has worked in the field of social work and nonprofit management for more than twenty years. Her diverse experience includes direct practice, program development and administration, community collaboration, grant writing and executive coaching.  Prior to her appointment at GSSW, Hageman held leadership positions at a rape crisis center, a comprehensive domestic violence agency and a school-based collaboration to prevent truancy. She also served as an adjunct professor at Washington University in St. Louis.

Hageman also shares her time with the community, providing guidance to a local domestic violence agency and to a government program that funds Colorado domestic violence programs, serving on the board of a private foundation and volunteering at her children’s schools.
