What to Expect:
• Once you have scheduled your academic advising appointment, you will receive a confirmation to your DU email with your appointment date, time, and Zoom link. The zoom link will be your online connection to your scheduled appointment.
• Be ready for an interactive session which will include the option to screen share so that you can review your Degree Audit with your Staff Academic Advisor or any issues you might have navigating your PioneerWeb.

Prepare for your Zoom Academic Advising Appointment:
• Test your video and sound equipment before your appointment. Adjust the volume or location of your webcam as necessary.
• Bring any questions or concerns: To have the most productive academic advising appointment possible, review your Degree Audit in advance. Have some questions prepared.
• Choose an appropriate environment: Find a space that is quiet, so your Staff Academic Advisor doesn't have to strain to hear you. Wearing earphones is a good idea. Last, but not least, position yourself so the light faces you, not behind you, so your Staff Academic Advisor can see you clearly.
• Be punctual: Log into your Zoom account and set up your video chat at least 5 minutes prior to your appointment time. This will allow you to ensure that your device is working correctly. If you arrive too late and experience any technical difficulties, it will only detract from the time you have to consult with a Staff Academic Advisor.
