Why orientation for families?

Transitioning into college is one of the most exciting times of your student's life. It can be both thrilling and challenging. We are here to help you become familiar with DU, answer your questions, and preview what you can expect for your student's first year at DU. 

Winter 2018 Important Dates and Logistics

Here are the main steps that new students need to complete:

  • Step one: Submit enrollment deposit through your application account.
  • Step two: Get advised/registered. See instructions below under the Winter 2018 Advising and Registration area.
  • Step three: Register/attend Winter Orientation. Click here to register for Winter Orientation.

Important Dates:

Beginning of Academic Advising: Monday, November 13th, 2017.

Winter Quarter Registration: New students can register after completing New Student Advising.

Winter 2018 Move-In Day: Monday, January 1st, 2018.

Winter 2018 On-Campus Orientation Experience: Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018.

International Student Orientation: Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018. 12:00pm - 4:00pm. For more info, please visit the International Student and Scholar Services website.

First Day of Winter Classes: Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018.
