Innovating Solutions to Protect the Planet

Our educational approach prioritizes the kind of hands-on experience that only research can deliver, and there's always an opportunity to explore new challenges within the field of sustainability. From developing tools to help educators teach the global implications of the changing environment to investigating the role that climate change plays in disrupting underserved and marginalized communities, our faculty and students work to help shape how our society tackles the most pressing question of our time.

Research Funding & Grants

The University offers multiple sources of funding for research projects at all levels. Undergraduates can apply for support through the Undergraduate Research Center, while the Public Good Fund offers financial backing for faculty-led projects in which graduate students play prominent roles. The Office of Sponsored Research also offers to connect students with sources of independent funding for their environmental or sustainability research, locating resources and grants that support new discoveries.
