Salute National Honors Society

SALUTE is the only national honor society recognizing and honoring the service and the scholastic achievements of student veterans.

Benefits of joining the SALUTE Veteran's Honor Society at DU:

Enhance your resume with a formal, academic acknowledgement, demonstrate commitment to your community through volunteer opportunities, and engage in potential leadership opportunities as an officer in the honor society.  Opportunities to network with potential employers in the local area that are seeking to hire highly qualified veterans that have demonstrated their dedication to furthering their education.  Becoming a member will also provide opportunities to both compete for scholarships and engage in national SALUTE programs.  As a result of membership, members will be presented with SALUTE Honor's regalia which demonstrates academic achievement upon graduation along with a formal certificate that commemorates membership in SALUTE.

Veteran Housing

Transition from one city to another is extremely difficult. Veterans Services is proud announce that we have begun working with off campus housing to help with your transition. We are now able to reserve housing for veterans, active duty, and reservists who are attending the University of Denver.

All units are located within walking distance from all that the University of Denver has to offer! You will be within walking distance from the Coors Fitness Center; the Driscoll Student Center; all of DU's educational units; and because all units are located on DU property, DU Campus Safety is just a phone call away.

The Sturm Center
The Sturm Center provides high-quality, confidential behavioral and mental health services at a community-centered facility in Aurora, Colorado. We welcome all Veterans, Service Members, and their families and can provide a wide-range of behavioral health services. 

The Veterans Advocacy Project
The VAP pairs individual Veterans with teams of Colorado attorneys and Denver Law students.  These teams work primarily on VA Disability Benefit Compensation cases at the regional level and up to the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in Washington DC.; and on Discharge Upgrade cases.

The Flex accounts is your flexible spending (debit) account. This account provides security and convenience. You need not carry cash, as your Pioneer ID Card can be used to make purchases on and off campus for a variety of products and services. Using your DUID number make your deposit here.
