Anne Penner is an Associate Professor in the University of Denver Theatre Department, where she teaches acting, directing, movement and voice courses.  Professional acting credits include Romeo and Juliet, Richard IIIJulius Caesar, and Cymbeline (Colorado Shakespeare Festival); Joan Didion's one-woman play adaptation of her book, The Year of Magical Thinking (Stories on Stage); The Wolves (Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company); AbundanceCrimes of the HeartAmerican Notes, and Savage in Limbo (Sis Tryst Productions); Not I Rockaby (Edinburgh International Fringe Festival); Seascape (Modern Muse); The Crimson Thread (Arvada Center); and Backsliding in the Promised Land (Syracuse Stage).  She also directs and produces, and is co-host of the popular acting and psychology podcast, The Actor's Mind, with colleague Kateri McRae.
