Teaching Assistant Professor
Faculty Director of the CWC Leadership Scholars
What I do
I am a facilitator, teacher, and learner with the CWC Leadership Scholars program. I am passionate about supporting college students on their life journeys, including giving a platform for exploring their own story about leadership. I am invigorated by the powerful collaborative work at CWC to bend our world towards equity, understanding, and connection.
My journey prior to DU included a 10-year career in Student Affairs. I completed a PhD in Higher Education from Florida State University, a Masters in Counseling & Guidance - Student Affairs from Texas State University, and a BA in Theatre and Communications at McMurry University. My research focuses on teaching leadership through critical lenses, gender and leadership, and social justice leadership learning. I am a proud Texan and cat mom, a runner, and an avid reader and podcast consumer. At CWC, I am a reflective question asker, a giver of grace and support, and a fierce champion for our brilliant student scholars.
