Water Tank Hill was not the only location for machine guns in the area. This photograph shows a machine gun positioned next to the water tank located immediately west of the Ludlow strikers' colony. The positioning of these guns worked to keep order and to remind strikers of the National Guard's control of the territory outside of the Ludlow strikers' colony.
