Contribute a gift to help research efforts
Unrestricted General Operating Support
Unrestricted gifts are essential to the Institute's continued success. Typically, federal government and large association grants we receive only cover a portion of research expenses. The remaining funds must come from private contributions. In addition, private support provides the seed money for promising new studies before they qualify for federal funding. This seed money allows our researchers to act on interesting theories that may lead to new therapies, preventatives and treatments.
Restricted Research Funds
The Eleanor Roosevelt Institute at the University of Denver is currently researching Down syndrome, cancer, autism, ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), Alzheimer's disease, obesity and type II diabetes and Recombinant 8 syndrome. Restricted contributions can be made to support any one of these areas of research.
Tribute Gifts
Gifts in Celebration and Remembrance are the perfect way to honor and remember loved ones. Each time you send a gift, the person or family you designate will receive a special letter acknowledging your remembrance. The amount is never disclosed. You will receive a receipt for tax deduction.

Charitable Estate Planning: The Pioneer Society
Many of ERI's "partners in science and discovery" have chosen to advance our pioneering research programs through their wills and estates. In special recognition of their support, the Institute has established the Pioneer Society, which is composed of people who have named the Eleanor Roosevelt Institute as a beneficiary in their wills, trusts, or life insurance policies. Leave a legacy and maximize your charitable contribution and the benefits to you and your family by taking advantage of a charitable estate gift plan, ranging from adding a bequest in your will to setting up a charitable remainder unitrust to provide you with income during your lifetime.
