Participants will become familiar with the social media platform options and determine what platform has the greatest impact for reaching their target audience. Developing effective and engaging organic content will be covered, along with creating ads on major social platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. This content-focused session will hone in on the best ways to develop and present content to various audiences. Then learn to focus on managing your social media presence, monitoring your brand on social media, and keeping up with best practices. This part of the course will cover how to manage your reputation and deal with crisis communications via social media. Finally, cover the measurement aspect of social media, both organic and paid. How do you prove ROI with social media? How do you know if your campaigns are performing well? Learn how to track, analyze and implement data-driven decisions on social media.

Instructor Bio: 

Victoria O'Malley is the Director of Marketing and Communications at the University of Denver's college of professional and continuing studies, University College. She teaches social media strategy, web analytics, media and communication courses at University College, Johnson & Wales University, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and the Enrichment Program at DU. Victoria works with clients to develop and deliver effective social media and web content to advance their brand.
